You will have ample time to wander through Sakhulwazi and experience all the wonders of the Philippi community. The shop will be open where you can purchase handmade products like aprons, handbags and many more beadwork products.

Creative Township Experience

A Creative Township Experience consists of:

Part 1: Rediscover your creative and productive self by joining our Sakhulwazi cooking class and learn from our Siyaphambili (Move Forward) Team how to make spinach pasta using fresh spinach from the community garden while the Magogs (Elderly Woman) make homemade vegetarian chakalaka to have with your pasta.

Part 2: After lunch you will join the beadworking team to make your own arm band.

Part 3: We believe that what you take out of the garden you must put back so every group will sponsor an African Grower to Sakhulwazi and help build and plant the tower. The team will sign the pots to leave a lasting memory.

Every visiting group provides income for 15 people for that day.
A 13-seater or two 9-seaters collect and take you to the venue, and drop you after the session, from a location within 40km from us – Browns Farms, Cape Town, 7750. If you aren’t within the 40km radius you will have to organise getting dropped off at a meeting point that is within the area.
